Well Rounded

Take the Long Way Round

Take the Long Way Round, this mixed-surface 125 km loop has it all. Skirt the southern boundary of Gatineau Park on dirt roads, taking in expansive views of the escarpment before ascending into the Park and all it has to offer. Transitioning from dirt and gravel to trail, a few tough grunts lead to and along Lac Taylor, the campground that tends to be overshadowed by Lac Phillipe.

Schnobb Road, which becomes a wonderful double-track trail, delivers you to the back entrance of Wakefield, and past the beautiful, historic Moulin Inn. If you’re running low on energy after the first part of the adventure, stop in for fuel at Pipolinka before you hit River Road, and/or at Palmier 20k further on, in Old Chelsea.
