Clarence-Rockland Classic: Capping the Spring Classics

That’s a wrap! The ‪#‎springassics‬ campaign closed on Saturday, May 2, 2015, with the‪ #‎clarencerocklandclassic‬. Conditions were perfect, featuring just the right sort of gravel to make things hairy, but not bike-destroying. The ‪#‎teknecc‬ team worked hard to animate the race and force a split. Ultimately, it was more a case of attrition. Derrick St. John (Silber) rode out of a break of three to solo for the win, and my ‪#‎Gilbert‬ move for 2nd was topped by Steve Keeping and @benandrew2 in the final drag to the line. Well done, gents, great racing! Once again, I’d like to single out ‪#‎WovenPrecisionHandbuilts‬ for hooking me up with stellar wheels for this spring’s races. Today I was on 23mm ‪#‎ContiGP4000‬ tires – ‪#‎rebecandkroes‬ – measuring just under 25mm on the wheels. Worked out great, and the wheels have not needed truing since the first race in March! Chapeau, Jamie Pold and Kent Dougall, I love these spinsey-winsies!
